Research

The Department offers a broad range of research opportunities, leading to higher degrees in both clinical (psychiatry/psychology) and non-clinical (molecular biology, biochemistry, psychopharmacology) disciplines. The Department makes a major contribution to the training of postgraduate students though its PhD, Masters and honours year courses and continues to attract research students in both numbers and quality to its postgraduate programs. Excellent facilities are available to students, including access to computer facilities (word-processing, email, internet connections, statistical packages, on-line literature searches) electrophysiological recording, neuroimaging and well equipped laboratories utilizing state of the art instrumentation.
